Japanese corporate honcho gifts his authored book to Haryana Chief Minister

NEW DELHI. Nobuhiro Takahashi, a senior Japanese corporate executive presented his authored book “What you should know about India to succeed in India” to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Saturday.

Nobuhiro Takahashi, the Managing Executive Officer (MEO) with a large Japanese automotive component manufacturing company in India, handed over his book written in Japanese language (インドでビジネスを成功させるために知っておくべきこと) to the Haryana CM during an interaction session with the industrialist members of IMT Industrial Association in Gurgaon.

Takahashi is also Advisor, Suggestions Committee, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII) that represents 460 Japanese companies situated in Delhi and NCR towns.

Hundreds of industrialists and area MLAs Satya Prakash Jarawta, Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary Industries Vijayendra Kumar, MD HSIIDC Anurag Aggarwal,  DC Gurgaon Yash Garg, Commissioner of Police Gurgaon KK Rao, MCG Commissioner Vinaypratap Singh,  Municipal Corporation of Manesar Munish Sharma, Denso Haryana Residents Welfare Association President Sunil Panwar, IMT Industrial Association Secretary-General Manoj Tyagi, President Pawan Yadav, and other senior officials of various departments clapped for Takahashi when he was handing over his book to the Haryana CM.

It was a pleasant surprise for the Haryana CM Khattar when the event organizers announced the name of Nobuhiro Takahashi to invite him to the stage to hand over his book to him.

“Is he from Japan? Good,” said the smiling Khattar who got up from his seat to welcome Takahashi to the stage and to receive the book from him.

Khattar greeted Takahashi with Namaskar, and latter bowed in front of the CM in the Japanese style of greeting. At the same time, all present in the IICA auditorium offered a huge round of applause for Takahashi when he was presenting his book to the Haryana CM.

Takahashi who has poured his 30 years of corporate experience of dealing with the Indian business ecosystem in his 142-page book, told the Haryana CM Khattar on this occasion that he has plans to launch the English language version of his book in India and for that he has requested Asian Community News (ACN) Network founding editor Sanjeev K Ahuja to work on it.

After 13 years of his stay in India, Takahashi would be going back to Japan next month.

Published by a Japanese publishing house Gentosha Renaissance Shinsho, Tokyo, the book attempts to explain a little difference of points – How to make “Human Resource” and “Money”.

A graduate of the Osaka University of Foreign Studies, Takahashi has shared detailed information on the Industrial Relations (IR) scene in the backdrop of human resource development and labour, factory, and wage laws and with an apt comparison of India with other Asian countries like Japan, China, Thailand, etc.

The book also finds mentions of various trade and labour unions and labour unrest incidents reported in the past, especially in Gurugram (Haryana). The book offers tips to the Japanese companies on the basis of the learning out of the labour unrest incidents.

In his book, Takahashi also talks about his social and spiritual life in India where he turned into a philosopher and a Yogi. He has visited almost all historical monuments and world heritage sites in India and also learned yoga especially during the lockdown period.
