Gurugram, India – Japan’s iconic golf brand TSURUYA Golf made its much-anticipated entry into the Indian market with a grand launch event held on June 7, 2025, at Skyline Golf, Baliawas, Gurugram. The exclusive launch was hosted by Kizuna Sports, the brand’s sole distributor in India. It attracted golf industry professionals, amateur and professional players, as well as key stakeholders from the Indo-Japanese sports and lifestyle sectors.

Founded in 1966, TSURUYA Golf is a total golf production company in Japan, renowned for its cutting-edge club design, nationwide chain of over 90 retail stores, and sophisticated manufacturing backed by decades of innovation. The company also operates a country club, multiple driving ranges, and golf schools across Japan. With annual sales exceeding ¥25 billion (as of June 2024), it ranks third in Japan’s golf equipment industry.

The launch event began with a full-day product demo session, offering Indian golfers a chance to test TSURUYA’s flagship clubs — including the high-repulsion AXEL GOLD PREMIUM6 and the new-generation AXEL A40 — specially engineered to increase driving distance and control through patented dual-impact technology and ultra-light designs. The product demos were also held in designated hitting bays on this occasion.

The main event kicked off at 7:00 PM with formal registration, followed by a welcome address and the introduction of the TSURUYA team. Kazushi Kodono, Overseas Sales Section Manager of TSURUYA Golf, delivered a presentation outlining the brand’s rich legacy, technological advancements, and aspirations in the Indian market. He emphasized TSURUYA’s commitment to offering Made-in-Japan craftsmanship and custom performance gear tailored to Indian golfers of all skill levels.

A ceremonial toast was raised to mark the beginning of TSURUYA’s journey in India. Guests then enjoyed live music, cocktails, and a curated dinner, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the brand’s fusion of precision and leisure.

To engage the community, golf contests were organized on June 7 and 8, offering players the chance to win exclusive prizes: a TSURUYA Axel Driver for a Hole-in-One and a TSURUYA Axel Golf Bag for the Longest Drive. Participants were required to use TSURUYA golf clubs and were allowed up to three attempts per contest.

TSURUYA’s India foray is seen as a strategic expansion following its recent success in Southeast Asia, with distribution networks now covering South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India. With its logistics center located near Kobe Port, TSURUYA aims to ensure smooth and fast delivery to international markets, including its new clientele in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajat Thukral, Director of Kizuna Sports, remarked, “Bringing TSURUYA to India is not just about selling premium golf clubs — it’s about enhancing the experience of Indian golfers with world-class quality and performance rooted in Japanese engineering.”

With a growing appetite for high-end sporting goods and a rising population of recreational and professional golfers, India is poised to become an exciting new market for TSURUYA’s global ambitions. The brand’s entry is expected to elevate the golfing landscape and offer Indian players new opportunities to explore innovation-driven equipment and training solutions.
