Samsung Honours 30 Tech Toppers with ₹1 Lakh Awards
Students from 10 states recognised for excellence in AI, Coding, IoT and Big Data as Samsung reinforces its commitment to youth skilling and India’s digital future.
The awardees were selected from nearly 20,000 students who participated in Samsung Innovation Campus, the company’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative focused on technology education and youth empowerment. The winners included four national toppers, 26 state-level toppers, and one social media champion from the 2025 cohort, representing 10 states across the country.
The students were honoured at Samsung India’s headquarters in Gurugram in the presence of JB Park, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia. Addressing the young achievers, Park encouraged them to continue pursuing innovation and lifelong learning. He said that the students represented the next generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and leaders, adding that skills such as AI, coding, and data analytics have become essential in today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India and Digital India missions, Samsung Innovation Campus aims to equip young people with industry-relevant technological skills while fostering innovation, critical thinking, and digital leadership. Through partnerships with educational institutions and skill development organisations, Samsung continues to support the creation of a digitally empowered and self-reliant India.
The stories of the toppers reflected the transformative impact of technology education. Aishwarya Sanjay from Karnataka, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Extension Education, applied her learning from the programme to develop an AI-driven model designed to improve market access for farmers through community-supported agriculture initiatives.
Shivam Singh from Uttar Pradesh explored IoT, cybersecurity, and automation technologies through the programme and developed projects ranging from home automation systems to cybersecurity models. His experience helped him secure an internship with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.
Students such as Dev Uppal from Delhi and Vanshika Raghav from Haryana also credited the programme with helping them bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications while enhancing their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise.
As part of the recognition programme, the students were given an opportunity to experience Samsung’s innovation ecosystem through visits to Samsung R&D Institute Noida, Samsung R&D Institute Delhi, and Samsung Design Delhi. During these visits, they interacted with technology leaders and gained insights into product development, user-centric design, and emerging technologies shaping the future.
The event was attended by Madhvendra Singh, CEO of the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), and Lt Gen Kulbhushan H. Gawas, CEO of the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). Samsung Innovation Campus is implemented in collaboration with ESSCI and TSSC, which play a key role in defining industry skill standards, certification frameworks, and workforce development initiatives under India’s Skill India ecosystem.
With structured training in AI, Coding & Programming, IoT, and Big Data, Samsung Innovation Campus continues to create opportunities for young Indians to access advanced technology education, mentorship, and career pathways, helping build the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers for a digitally driven future.
