Jasmine Youngmi Park makes it big at Inter-Club Tournaments in New Delhi
Representing DLF Golf & Country Club, the USGTF-certified trainer from Korea emerged as the individual champion with the highest net score at Qutab Golf and as the 2nd runner-up at Delhi Golf Club.
New Delhi, India – The lush fairways of Qutab Golf Course came alive with the swing of ambition and precision, as the Qutab Queens Inter-Club Tournament showcased the rising prowess of women golfers from across the National Capital Region (NCR). Held in February, the event drew over 60 players from premier clubs including Delhi Golf Club, Indian Golf Union, DLF Golf Course, Gurugram, and host Qutab Golf Course, blending fierce competition with the spirit of camaraderie under clear winter skies.

Jasmine Youngmi Park made it big at Inter-Club Tournaments in New Delhi. Representing DLF Golf & Country Club, the USGTF-certified trainer from Korea emerged individual champion with the highest net score at Qutab Golf, and 2nd runner up at Delhi Golf Club. Jasmine is the Founding MD of Delhi Golfzon and Young Golf Universe.
Jasmine’s journey from a decade-long teaching career to becoming an industry leader is truly inspiring. To deepen her understanding of student and parent psychology, she pursued Counselling Studies and earned a certification in the field.
Her pivotal career shift came in 2021 when she obtained her Teaching Professional certification from the United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF), the world’s largest national organisation of certified golf teaching professionals, established in 1989.
Organised by the Qutab Golf Course Ladies Section – better known as Qutub Queens in collaboration with the Indian Golf Union (IGU), the tournament featured individual stroke play across 18 holes in three categories: Championship (0-24 handicap), Category A (25-36), and Category B (37+). Top honours went to Delhi Golf Club’s Priya Sharma, who clinched the Championship title with a stellar net score of 68, edging out Qutab’s own Riya Malhotra by two strokes.
“This win feels like a personal milestone after months of rigorous training,” Sharma said post-round, crediting her coach’s focus on mental resilience amid the course’s challenging doglegs and undulating greens.
In Category A, Anjali Kapoor from Jaypee Greens dominated with a net 70, while newcomer Sneha Patel from GK’s Lake Golf Course surprised veterans to take Category B laurels at 72 net. Team prizes highlighted club rivalries, with Delhi Golf Club securing the overall team trophy after a nail-biting putt-off against Qutab.
The event also spotlighted juniors, with 16-year-old Aisha Khan from Noida Golf Course earning the Best Gross Junior award.
Beyond the leaderboard, the tournament underscored women’s growing footprint in Indian golf. “Events like Qutab Queens are vital for nurturing talent and breaking barriers,” noted IGU Vice President Meera Singh during the prize ceremony, attended by over 200 spectators, including sponsors from local sports brands and hospitality firms.
Prizes included trophies, golf gear vouchers worth ₹5 lakhs, and sponsored green fees, with proceeds partly supporting junior girls’ training programs.
Qutab Golf Course, a 72-par haven designed by Col. K.D. Singh proved an ideal stage with its 6,800-yard layout, testing accuracy on par-3s like the signature 7th hole. No major weather disruptions marred play, though a brief morning fog on Day 2 added drama to early tee times.
As India’s women golfers eye international circuits like the Ladies European Tour qualifiers, tournaments such as this signal a vibrant future. Organisers already tease next year’s edition with expanded categories and pro-am formats.
