Nagoya, Japan — Indobox Inc., in collaboration with the Greater Nagoya Initiative Council (GNIC) and with support from the Overseas Business Assistance Center (OBAC), will host a special seminar focused on Indian startups and the potential for deepening Japan-India collaboration in innovation. The event, scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025, will take place at the STATION Ai 1F Event Space in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (JST), with registration beginning at 10:00 am.

This initiative follows Indobox’s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Hub, India’s largest startup incubation facility, located in Hyderabad. Indobox’s Indian subsidiary is also based within T-Hub, underlining the deepening engagement between the two organizations. T-Hub stands at the heart of India’s dynamic startup ecosystem and serves as a major force in fostering global partnerships for Indian innovators. Its strategic presence has played a crucial role in Hyderabad’s evolution as an IT powerhouse, home to major development centers for companies like Microsoft and Apple.

Themed “Indian Startups and the Forefront of Innovation — T-Hub Talks About the Latest Trends and the Potential for Japan-India Collaboration,” the seminar will feature a keynote address by Mr. Setu Sharma, Manager of the T-Hub International Collaboration Program. He will discuss the latest trends emerging from India’s vibrant startup scene, outline T-Hub’s initiatives supporting overseas collaborations, and explore opportunities for Japanese businesses to engage with Indian startups poised for international partnerships.

The program will also feature a live pitch presentation by two Indian startup companies joining online, offering direct insights into the innovation landscape in India. Moderating the discussions and providing commentary will be Mr. Daisuke Tanji, CEO of Indobox Inc., who will guide the session through the emerging opportunities that Japan and India can jointly explore. Following the seminar, an introduction to support measures and a networking session will be held, allowing participants to exchange business cards and providing a platform for deeper engagement.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. The application deadline is Thursday, May 8, 2025. Participation will be capped at 100 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. The seminar will primarily be conducted in Japanese, although some Japanese-English interpretation will be available to facilitate broader participation.

T-Hub’s leadership role in shaping India’s startup ecosystem offers Japanese businesses an exceptional opportunity to understand and tap into India’s immense growth potential. By integrating India’s latest innovation trends and collaborative models, Japanese companies can better position themselves in a rapidly evolving global market.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to register promptly through the official application platform. For inquiries, participants can contact the Greater Nagoya Initiative Council Secretariat (GNIC) at 052-218-4020 or via email at gni_event@greaternagoya.org.

With India’s startup ecosystem booming and Japan seeking new avenues for innovation, the upcoming seminar promises to be a key step in forging stronger ties between the two dynamic economies.
