KOSME’s Corporate Skill-Up Program Equips Indian Executives with Korean Work Culture, Digital Skills, and more
Seven-week training in New Delhi bridges Korean corporate values with India’s talent pool, setting the stage for deeper bilateral business integration.
New Delhi, May 16, 2025: In a strategic initiative aimed at fostering cross-cultural corporate synergy, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) successfully concluded its seven-week-long Corporate Skill-Up Program at the Global Business Centre (GBC) in New Delhi. Held from April 4 to May 16, the program targeted Indian office executives, providing them with a deep dive into Korean work culture, ethics, and modern business practices.
Organized by India-Korea Edutech Solutions (I-KETS), the program trained 50 employees from various Korean companies operating in India. Conducted every Friday, the sessions were structured around four key specialization areas: Korean corporate culture, digital practical skills, communication capabilities, and real-time projects based on case studies from Korean firms active in the Indian market.
Ten participants who performed above expectations, with over 70% achievement in both coursework and project assessments, received official certification from KOSME GBC.
Highlighting the program’s design and execution, Seung Jung Kang, Director of I-KETS, explained, “We began with an introduction to Korean corporate culture, focusing on decision-making styles and organizational dynamics. This was followed by hands-on training in digital tools including AI-based data analysis and SNS marketing strategies.”
“Participants also developed communication skills through modules like MBTI-based personality analysis for collaborative teamwork and negotiation techniques. Finally, the program concluded with a real-time project simulating actual Korean corporate operations in India,” Kang added.
Jae Kyeong Lee, Director of KOSME India, emphasized the impact of the initiative: “This program has elevated the skillsets of local employees, particularly in forward-looking areas like digital marketing and artificial intelligence. The high satisfaction rate underscores its value.”
Looking ahead, Mr. Lee announced plans to partner with leading Indian graduate schools to transition the program into a regular academic offering from the second half of 2025. “This will not only serve as a bridge between Korean companies and Indian professionals but also help reduce turnover rates by enhancing employee alignment with Korean corporate systems,” he noted.
The initiative reflects KOSME’s broader commitment to supporting Korean companies in India by nurturing local talent. As KOSME continues to expand its portfolio of support programs, this effort is poised to mark a new chapter in Korea-India economic cooperation.
