These days our usual ways of doing things are changing fast – irreversibly, forever, and maybe for the better.

The ongoing Coronavirus-induced crisis has put the way We Work and Live on Reset Mode. In the initial days of the outbreak, the key focus of everyone was on safety and wellbeing, subsequently, it shifted to transitioning to a new way of working & living remotely. And now as we realize the long term impact of the ongoing crisis, the focus has now shifted to planning for the future.

In many ways, this entire pandemic experience we have all gone through for the last few months has been a big learning experience for all of us. A crisis of this scale has reordered the way we work and live in many dramatic ways. It’s clear to me we are in the middle of The Great Reset, a New Way of Thinking About the Way We Work & Live.

In my view, this crisis is also giving us the opportunity to reimagine the way we work & live. I believe our usual ways of doing things are changing fast – irreversibly, forever, and maybe for the better.

Also, search for different answers has begun and a new kind of normal is quickly taking shape. As the old ways of doing things have broken down under the pressure of the present ongoing crisis, we have now become mindful of new ways of doing things. Our startup Jeevitam organized its first Webinar of the series ‘Reimagining Campus Placement’ where we questioned the status quo and discussed possibilities & opportunities with the government, industry, and academia. And we do see new ways of doing campus Placement emerging with the consensus of all.

In today’s English daily, Industry leaders have shared their views on new ways of thinking about the way we will work & live in the near future. I see a general consensus emerging on a few themes. Nobody has a clear insight into when this crisis will end. We will learn to live with uncertainty, create foundations strong enough to weather future storms, and be prepared to expect the unexpected.

Going Digital has become a necessity and will open up new possibilities and opportunities. We have to learn to change fast, learn to be patient and resilient, and learn to run our Work and Life in a ‘War Mode’. Honesty and transparency win in the harshest times and we will come through this crisis much stronger.
