Korean Assn KABA and ACN sign MoU to enhance Media Presence in South India
The partnership aims to strengthen communication between Korean and other East Asian communities in North and South India, especially in Bengaluru and Andhra Pradesh, through collaborative media coverage.
Bengaluru, India — In a significant move to foster greater media representation and cultural connectivity, the newly formed Korean Association in Bengaluru & Andhra Pradesh (KABA) and the Asian Community News Network (ACN Network) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 21 in Bengaluru. The agreement paves the way for enhanced collaboration to bridge the regional information gap within India’s Korean and broader East Asian communities.

KABA, representing a vibrant Korean population of approximately 2,200 individuals across Bengaluru and Andhra Pradesh, is dedicated to the cultural preservation and welfare of the Korean diaspora in southern India. ACN Network, headquartered in Gurugram, is a leading media organization focused on Indo-East Asian affairs, with a strong presence in North India through its real-time news portal (www.asiancommunitynews.com) and monthly print magazine.
Under the terms of the MoU signed during the launch ceremony of KABA at the Gyeonggi Business Center in Bengaluru, ACN will expand its news coverage to include stories and developments from Korean and other East Asian communities in cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, as well as Andhra Pradesh, and beyond. KABA will assist in facilitating access to local events and updates, thereby helping to ensure a broader and more accurate representation of East Asian communities in the southern part of the country.
The MoU was signed by Jung Young Ho, the newly elected Chairman, on behalf of KABA, during the launch ceremony and by Sanjeev K. Ahuja, Founding Editor-in-Chief and CEO of ACN Network, virtually from Gurugram. Changnyun Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Chennai, was also present on this occasion.

The Executive Secretary of KABA, Juntae Jung, made a significant contribution to this collaboration and facilitated the signing of the MoU between the two parties.
He said, “Korean and other East Asian people frequently travel between northern and southern India and reciprocally seek more information about these regions. The ACN can address this information requirement by reporting on various affairs and developments in both regions.”
The collaboration also includes plans to boost the readership and distribution of the ACN magazine in the southern region, supported by KABA’s community networks. Both parties have agreed to explore further cooperation in advertising, marketing, and content exchange.
“This partnership is a major step towards connecting the Korean communities across India more effectively,” said Youngho Jung, Chairman of KABA. “We look forward to working with ACN to amplify the voices and stories from our region.”
Sanjeev K Ahuja, Founding Editor-in-Chief & CEO of ACN Network, added, “This MoU reflects our commitment to a pan-India approach in East Asian community coverage. We are excited to strengthen our presence in South India with KABA’s support.”
